Il Present Perfect Continuous sostituisce il Present Perfect nelle frasi con for, since o nelle domande con how long.
Esempio:
How long has it been raining?
Da quanto tempo sta piovendo?
Da quanto tempo sta piovendo?
It has been raining for two hours.
Piove da due ore.
Piove da due ore.
La forma affermativa si costruisce con il soggetto + have/has + been + il verbo con la forma ing.
Esempi:
I have been teaching belly dancing for about 6 years.
You have been reading.
He/She/It has been reading.
You have been reading.
He/She/It has been reading.
La forma negativa si costruisce con il soggetto + have not/has not + been + il verbo con la forma ing.
Esempi:
I have not been reading.
You have not been reading.
He/she/it has not been reading.
You have not been reading.
He/she/it has not been reading.
La forma interrogativa si costruisce con have/has + soggetto + been + il verbo con la forma ing.
Esempi:
How long have you been living in Beirut?
